Larry picked up the hammered dulcimer after playing drums for years. He saw and heard the instrument featured on the album “First of Autumn” by Malcolm Dalglish and Gray Larson. He bought his first hammered dulcimer in 1991, and it changed his focus in music forever.
Larry’s hammered dulcimer playing is great for restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting rooms and private engagements. The music never drowns out the conversation, and can still be heard from the back of the room.
Larry also plays bodhran (an Irish frame drum), drum set, djembe, and whatever percussion he can get his hands on. He also sings, and he is available to gig.
